Got back home thirty minutes ago. I am so tireeeeeeeed. I feel like I wanna sleep. *yawn*

So okay, today's updates.
Mr. K. told us that after 8th of August, our GP lessons will be gone. So, there's no more GP on the 9th and onwards. That tells me I will have two PS blocks. Yipeeeeee!~ But then.... I'm gonna miss my GP class. I have only been there for a year plus cause I got transfered to Mr. K's GP block on !st November last year as my Maths block was changed to block 2, which was suppose to be my original EAS/GP block. So yeah, I feel like I'm still new there even though I get to know some of 'em quite well already, especially the girls with whom I'm sitting with. Hehehehehe. :P I am definitely going to miss GP when it's totally over already. On the positive side, I get to concentrate more on my other three subjects of which demands my fullest attention. [--.]

Anyway, we did have fun during GP today, even though I kind of felt guilty towards Basirah. :S Cause, the thing is, me and the other two girls, Dibah and Mizah, were eating maltesers and some sweets. BUT Basirah was actually fasting. Huhuhuhu. So, I told her to take some candy home for her to eat when she opens her fast later. I am really sorry Bas!! Okay, the mentioning of Maltesers just now reminded me of Mr. Kendrew. He saw us eating lollipops and he came over to our table, telling us that the lollipops were bad for us cause they would only cause more tooth decay and such. Haha. But we don't care~ We still eat lollipops cause it makes us HAPPY. :D After that, I innocently showed a packet of maltesers in front of Mr. Kendrew's face & I know he couldn't resist 'em. He happily eats them away. Hehe. I still had some left though, so I gave the rest to Mr. Kendrew when the class ended.

"Sir, do you mind finishing this (maltesers)?"
"Oh no, I don't mind at all~ *huge grin planted on face*"
HAHA. XD

thank you all for the b'day greetings. hehe.

Yeay~ Today's the day I turned 20. Woohoo!~ HAHA. Yeah right~ As if I feel that enthusiastic, but I had fun nonetheless. && thank you to all my friends for the greetings, I very much appreciate them. :D

Last night, I think past 12 already, my Mom wanted to surprise me with a birthday candle which she lighted up, but then it got extinguished, so inda jadi tiup. Haha. Sad eh. Adakah patut padam tia apinya. When I woke up at that time, I realized that Mom was really near to my face, like, I was bangang tarus. My eyes were kinda blurry, so I wasn't sure that it was my Mom in the first place. Manakan.. She was like really close and my mind was still a bit foggy from the sleep, so I thought that I just had a dream about it, sekali, it was true, Mom did greet me during midnight. Haha. I even sat down, literally, to scan if Mom was still around, her bedroom lights were switched off already and I positively thought that it was just a dream. Haha. XD

Anyway, some of my friends greeted me via phone and some practically sang the birthday song during school time. I was like trying not to blush with the gestures they made to me, but I can't help it. Every time they sang it, I felt a year older. Haha. Even though I get older, I still stay young forever. Why? Because my face never changes! (--.)
To a certain someone, who didn't show up during GP, we were actually waiting for you bah. But you never showed upppppppppppp. (-_-") You better show up tomorrow woman! Cause I'm bringing sweets tuuuu & maltesersss. *kirai kirai. HAHA.

After school, my girlfriends took me to eat somewhere. So, we went to Ideal to feed our grumbling stomachs. I treated the girls as it was my birthday. Hehe. I shall be waiting for my presents from you guys!! You know who you are *especially Amenie & Adeq & Pjah. *kirai. HAHA. Anywayyyy, I really enjoyed the chicken spaghetti at Ideal cause it was really nyaman. I actually wanted to eat more of those. Hmm. Nanti tah lagi ke sana. :D

After lunch, we went to Hua Ho cause I wanted to browse over the mattresses there as well as to buy some school stationaries. Then, we went to Giant cause Nina wanted to check out some things there. That was the first time I ever stepped inside Giant. Seriously. I just never have the mood to go there. & it was tiring! We walked from one end to the other, should have used a mini scooter to accommodate. That, would make things a lot easier. HAHA.

Since I went to Hua Ho and Giant, I planned to get some stuff from both stores. I'm gonna buy that long mirror & maybe a mattress at Hua Ho and also get that study table at Giant. Hmm. I'm gonna survey for more things soon, maybe during the hols. That way, I'd be able to know where to buy my needed things once I decide where to buy them. I definitely will buy the paints for my room at Dulux, cause the quality is better there, although prices can be higher than other places. Well, quality counts as it's my room I'm gonna be decorating. I can't wait to do the decorations. Hehe. XD

My back is really sangal. I need to lie down after this. Sigh, I think I'm getting old sudah. I'm not even 20 yet, but I have pains like a 40-year-old. *shivers with the thought*

Anyway! I really cannot wait for my new room, I know it's not renovated yet but there's that feeling of enthusiasm flowing inside me. I thought about the colour themes already and also thought about what things I should get soon. Yknow, I just can't stop thinking about it. I practically dreamed of it last night. Seriously. Haha.

So, woke up at around 6-ish today, had plans to go to tasek with my parents and Elle. It felt really refreshing to be outdoors for once in a while. There's that clean, purified air every time I go outside. *inhales, exhales, inhales again, exhales* The sun was beautiful this morning, a really nice warm glow it brought today. You know what would be perfect on a morning like that? A picnic! Yes, with friends or family. That would bring a nicer touch to the day. Maybe, one of these days, I am gonna have a picnic outside at my lawn and placed all the necessities under a tree where the sun won't scorched up my skin if ever it gets too hot. Ah, me and my imaginations. But, it does sound like a perfect picnic for a perfect day. Haha.

Dad agreed to build that brick BBQ stand once the renovation started. It would add a perfect touch to the patio upstairs. I can imagine myself bbq-ing marinaded sweet and spicy chicken wings, lambs, shrimps and the whole lot of 'em. Haish, the thought of it really makes me extremely hungry. Haha. Batah eh bulan 8 ani. I want the renovation to start soon, so I can have my own room. Such a pity to sleep in the living room every night, it's like a second bedroom there. Haha. :D

Oh yeah, tomorrow, someone will be celebrating her birthday *kirai. HAHA. I shall make a post for that tomorrow. ;p

Berries (one cup a day)
Studies that focus on food and memory suggest that the more overall produce you eat, the better. But when it comes to fruit and your memory, berries rate number one! Berries have some of the highest antioxidant concentrations among fruit, and ALL berries are rich in healthy compounds called anthocyanins and flavanols… which may help protect against the breakdown of brain cells.

Plus these days, it seems you can’t say enough about the health benefits of blue-berries. What makes them so powerful? Their deep blue hue — caused by flavonoids — those natural compounds that protect the brain’s memory-carrying cells (neurons) from the negative effects of oxidation and inflammation. Blueberries are one of the best sources of flavonoids around, and encouraging animal studies suggest that diets rich in flavonoids may help reverse memory loss in humans. In fact, a new British study, published just last month, reveals eating plenty of blueberries can enhance spatial memory and learning.

Buy firm-fleshed berries from a farmer’s market, local supermarket, or health food store. For off season months, take advantage of frozen, unsweetened varieties. Berries taste great mixed into plain yogurt, as a topping for hot or cold cereal or right out of the bowl.

Now I know why I love berries so much and I am about to love them even more. Haha.

Coffee (adjust to your personal tolerance)
Good news for coffee lovers. About two years ago, researchers from the University Innsbruck in Austria found caffeinated coffee can temporarily sharpen your focus and memory. After giving volunteers the caffeine equivalent of about two cups of coffee, they observed that their brain activity was increased in two locations—one being the part responsible for memory. Results were observed using MRI technology. Without caffeine, there was no increase in brain activity.

Then, earlier this year, another study published in a leading Neurology journal, found the effects of coffee may be longer lasting — specifically in women. This four-year long study involving about 7000 participants... all participants went through thorough baseline evaluations – cognitive function was tested, along with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other vascular issues. Participants were re-evaluated at the two-year mark, and again at the four year mark.

At the end of the four year period, researchers found that women age 65 and older who drank more than three cups of coffee per day (or the caffeine equivalent in tea) had 33 percent less decline in memory over time than women who drank one cup or less of coffee or tea per day. The results held up even after researchers adjusted for other factors that could affect memory abilities, such as age, education, baseline cognitive function, depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, medications, and other chronic illnesses. This caffeine-memory association was not observed in men — the authors hypothesize that perhaps that’s because men and women metabolize caffeine differently.

So if memory problems are a major concern for you, and if you don’t have a medical condition that precludes caffeine, feel free to indulge in a cup or two in the morning to jump-start your brain.

Note: If you have elevated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, you should limit your caffeine fix to plain brewed coffee or tea. There is some evidence that unfiltered coffee (the kind used to make espresso, cappuccino, and latte) may raise cholesterol levels, especially in people who are already battling high cholesterol. To be safe, skip the fancy brews and stick with a regular cup of joe. Of course, be cautious and moderate with added sugar!

- Sometimes I do, but most of the times, I have to toughen myself up, right? I can't be scared of the dark forever.

Anyway, I found this in Friendster's bulletin board. It sounded 'interesting', so I posted it here:

update time.

this week has been a wee bit hectic. well, not really. i'm just exaggerating things too much. so, let's start with the updates,

tuesday, 1st july.
22 more days left until...
i went out during school's lunch time with nina and adeq. we needed to discuss about the reunion party things. they picked me up around 12.30 and we drove off to the hayati restaurant. i asked nina to pick me up again at two so we could got browsing and surveying for stuff that's needed. rina came along also to join us. we went to happy star store at batu besurat and browsed over the gifts there. any party would have to give away souvenirs, right? as tokens for everyone's cooperation and presence. haha. there were a lot of things there that attracted our attention, some have reasonable prices while others, are a bit off. after we're done there, we went to batu satu to go to soon lee. surveyed some kitchen stuff for the party and checked out the prices. we don't wanna go over budget now, do we? nope. haha. then we went to kiulap to also survey the things there. so far, the prices were reasonable. got back home, with my school uniform still attached, at around 8 pm. atu batah kami jalan. well, for the most part, batah lagi for nina and adeq cause they went out at around 11 am? yup. that long indeed.

nothing much exciting happened on this day. just the usual school work given every minute. talk about killing myself to stop the pressure from school. but, i'm not gonna get rid of myself that easily. i got so many things to do left in my life. i wanna live it to the fullest, therefore, i have to take some risk. even if it cracks me up sometimes.

thursday, 3rd july.

it started with an announcement from the school's speaker. apparently, the flag rising timetable was wrong. our turn wasn't yesterday but the days before yesterday. we climbed down from a three-storey building and head to climb back up again because the schedules were wrong. apologies accepted. i wasn't angry with the wrong information, we were told about it nicely by this nice junior soon-to-be MP girl about the schedules. so, no anger resurfaced. haaaa. okay, GP at 7.45. did nothing much, only the past year paper; learned more about volcanoes during Geography; did more analysis on Andrew Marvell's poetry of 'Eyes and Tears' & 'A Dew Drop' during Lit; did nothing but read 'The Novice' during PS and learned more about the ever-so-complicated 'Differential Equations' during Maths. Such a long day went by. I was too tired to even think, even a wee bit.
